Google Adwords is a Pay-Per-Click (PPC) website promotion technique which allows an advertising campaign to be run on a live website. A text based advertisement is provided to Google which is then displayed on Google’s Search Engine Result Pages or websites with content deemed relevant by Google. This can be an extremely effective way of driving relevant traffic through to your website.
Each advert is assigned a set of key word search phrases. There is an automatic auction which takes place each time a Google user searches for one of these phrases to determine which adverts should show up in the list of sponsored links and their position within that list.
