Web Developer

We require a self-motivated individual with excellent website design and development skills in the following areas:
Essential
- Website and Graphic Design
- ASP, XHTML, HTML, CSS, JavaScript
- ASP.NET (C#)
- Database Design & Support (MS Access / SQL Server)
- Dreamweaver
- Photoshop / Fireworks
Desirable
- PHP
- MySQL
- ASP.NET MVC
- jQuery
- Microsoft Visual Studio
You would be working with a small friendly design team and will have at least some knowledge of current web standards, accessibility and search engine optimisation principles with the ability to work with 'raw code' and industry software tools like Dreamweaver and Photoshop.
An appreciation of business standard website structure is a pre-requisite and you must have demonstrable skills working with Content Managed and dynamic sites and be comfortable with front end layout, navigation and content principles. A genuine portfolio of your own work will need to be provided prior to or during interview stages.
Education Requirement:
We are looking for candidates with good communication and problem solving skills, commercial awareness and lateral thinking, also creatively aware and up to date with industry trends and standards.
Although practical skills with the necessary commercial experience is clearly the main criteria, the successful candidate must have a good education and, whilst not necessarily essential, will likely hold an appropriate certification or a qualification to a degree level (or equivalent) in addition to strong analytical skills with good written and spoken English.
The position involves discussions with clients and analysing client requirements with content quality and management being equally as important as design requirement, structure and search engine optimisation. This may progress to documenting and submitting proposals for development projects.
