Why W3C Compliance is important

W3C compliance ensures:

• Your website is accessible for the disabled
• Your website can be accessed from a number of devices, from different browsers to mobile phone users
• Your website will look and function in a similar way regardless of the browser, screen size of device.
• The code within your site is reduced, therefore reducing download speeds.
• Search engine spiders are able to read the whole page, and find the links to the rest of your site.

Website Accessibility

Thats why all of the websites that we create comply with W3C validation checks and are tested for website accessibility.

A common myth surrounding website development is that building accessible pages that comply with W3C guidelines is expensive, they have to be dull and boring, and they have to be written for the lowest common denominator - this is not true!

It is also not the case that users must view a web page the way the designer intended. With the range of browsers, screen sizes, colour depths and other user preferences it is often not possible to have a web page look the same to all users.
